IATA Battery Conditioners

Efficient tools for battery transportation

Realising a gap in the market, in 2017 Lincad introduced a battery conditioner to comply with the IATA (International Air Transport Associations) regulations that had been introduced the previous year.

The Dangerous Goods Regulation (DGR) legislation covers the safe transport and storage of Li-ion and other battery types.

The Armada is a six-channel multi-chemistry charger/conditioner designed for the state of charge management of lithium-ion (Li-ion) and other battery types from any original equipment manufacturer. It is an efficient fleet management tool for anyone involved in the transport and storage of batteries.

Designed for absolute simplicity of operation, each channel features a transport mode to prepare Li-ion batteries to less than 30% state of charge for air transport in line with IATA regulations, and a storage mode to prepare Li-ion batteries to 50% state of charge for long-term storage. State of charge information for each channel is provided by an LED indicator display.
