The Filter Adaptor is a portable, filtered, power adaptor designed to allow the operator to connect a BA5590 Battery to the Type 163 LTU power interface
terminals.
The Adaptor is designed to be rugged and versatile enough to operate in front line military environments to minimise the energy management burden of the user.
The Filter Adaptor consists of a single main unit housing the primary filter electronics and power conversion mechanics. The main body has an integral interface for the Type 163 LTU, and a circular connector socket for a free mating cable to a BA5590 battery.
The Power Adaptor does not include any user controls or interfaces but mimics the Type 163 Laser Battery interface and sliding retracting latching mechanism for familiarity of control.
