Peter Copplestone delivers Lincad donation to Camberley All Night Cafe
On Saturday 9th December, Peter Copplestone, our Director of Operations, dropped in to the All Night Cafe in Camberley to hand over a gratefully received £500 donation from Lincad.
Launched in 2015 with a vision to meet the needs of veterans and the homeless, the Cafe is open from 10pm until 8am, 7 days a week, and provides free home-cooked meals, complimentary drinks and refreshments throughout the night and a hot breakfast in the morning. Customers are also offered hot showers and a nearly-new change of clothing as well as a selection of free food to take away.
Completely set up and run by a team of dedicated volunteers, with no statutory funding or formal support, the Cafe relies on goodwill, enterprise, community fundraising and donations of food, volunteer time and financial benefactors like Lincad.
Peter, who has been with Lincad for over 20 years, commented:
“Given the vital support that the All Night Cafe provides for ex-services personnel, we’re delighted to be helping this very worthy charity.”
Lincad manufactures and supplies batteries, chargers and power management systems for military applications to military and defence customers around the world. Its main customers are the UK Ministry of Defence (MOD) and UK Defence Primes who supply to the UK MOD.
