New HQ expansion ensures battery expert Lincad can keep pace with growing global demand
British battery design and manufacture expert, Lincad has expanded its headquarters in Surrey to accommodate its increased manufacturing capability and strengthen its repair and servicing provision.
The main aim of the project has been to ensure that Lincad remains fully equipped and ready to keep pace with the growing global demand for its bespoke batteries, chargers and power management systems.
A brand new mezzanine level has been added to the Lincad HQ building in Ash Vale near Farnborough to create a new repair and servicing area. The introduction of the mezzanine has increased overall manufacturing floor space by 35{4aff493196277715e4d567e40d480e936b19538ec92e3fb54a5acc88489379da} and frees up workshop space elsewhere for enhanced production and testing facilities.
It has also enabled the Lincad R&D team to continue developing its research work into future battery products and innovations. With over 30 years of experience, Lincad continues to take product performance to new limits, producing lighter, more powerful batteries with faster, more flexible charging solutions.
Lincad will also use the enlarged new facilities to carry on providing services to its non-military customers across the commercial, industrial, medical and security sectors.
Janet Rowe, Lincad’s Joint Managing Director, commented:
“We are confident that our new facilities at HQ will allow us to keep up with increased demand for our products and to continue to provide a service that exceeds our customers’ expectations. All our design and manufacturing takes place on site and this expansion not only highlights our ongoing success in the global military and defence arena, but also strengthens our reputation as a leader in battery technology and design.”
Alongside its work with the MoD and British military and defence sector, Lincad has seen overseas interest in its products soar, particularly in Poland, Denmark and Australia. Buoyant export sales coupled with Lincad’s success within the UK supply chain have enabled this ambitious infrastructure expansion project to go ahead.
