Lincad to attend Farnborough International Air Show
Lincad will be attending this year’s Farnborough International Air Show which is being held from the 11th to 17th July. At the forefront of lithium-ion battery technology, Lincad designs and manufactures bespoke batteries, chargers and power management systems for military and other specialist applications.
The Air Show will provide Lincad with the opportunity to meet potential customers from both the aviation and defence sectors.
Lincad will be promoting its unrivalled capabilities in meeting the needs of the defence market. Global defence spending is forecast to be an estimated £82 billion per year over the next eight years and the Farnborough International Airshow provides a unique platform for showcasing the latest defence-related technologies.
Whilst at the event, Lincad will also be highlighting a specific feature of its latest battery charger. There has been a marked increase in the use of lithium-ion batteries to power an ever growing variety of consumer and industrial products. But from April 1st, there has been an IATA requirement that all lithium-ion batteries shipped as cargo must have a state of charge of no more than 30{4aff493196277715e4d567e40d480e936b19538ec92e3fb54a5acc88489379da} of their rated capacity. Lincad’s Caravel Mk2 Charger, a cutting edge product offering multi-chemistry charging of batteries from any OEM, has an in-built function enabling it to discharge lithium-ion batteries to any chosen state of charge.
The biennial Farnborough International Air Show is a major event on the aerospace calendar.
