Press Release – 2nd February 2015

Lincad, a leader in the design and manufacture of specialist batteries, chargers and power management systems, is delighted to announce that it has been accepted onto Dstl’s R-Cloud framework for both Integrated Survivability and Platform Systems.

A UK Government executive agency, sponsored by the Ministry of Defence, Dstl ensures that the defence and security of the country are supported by innovative science and technology, and works with industry, academia and other research organisations to bring such innovation to the market place. R-Cloud is Dstl’s framework for scientific and technical research suppliers and Integrated Survivability and Platform Systems are the fourth and fifth capability areas to be added to the contracting framework.

Acceptance onto the R-Cloud framework is dependent on suppliers demonstrating expertise in the relevant capability areas.

Brian Soden, Lincad’s Managing Director, commented: “Joining Dstl’s R-Cloud represents an excellent opportunity for us. We are already a long-established MOD supplier but being a part of the R-Cloud framework will give us access to all of Dstl’s latest research requirements in the fields of Integrated Survivability and Platform Systems”.
